Placement:- now the placement came low

Waiting Period:- ETO waiting period is high like 6 to 12 M

Training & Wellbeing:- GOOD FOOD

Placement:- Joined ETO24 Batch Oct 2022-Jan 2023, Feb month did all stcw courses in march companies came by march end got placed in scorpio marine management. Joined my first ship by mid August

Waiting Period:- Depends on the current scenario but placement is 100% guaranteed

Training & Wellbeing:- Training is Good all faculties are very nice. Good infrastructure, Food and Hostel.

Electro-Technical Officer Course Eligibility –

Duration:4 months (on shore) plus 8 months (on board)
Minimum Requirements:Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with minimum 50 % marks in English Language at 10th of 12th standard exam.
Passed four year’s Degree including lateral entry, with 50% marks in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication / Communication Engineering, or Electronics and instrumentation or equivalent.
The diploma /degree courses must have been recognized by any State or Central Government or the AICTE.
Marital statusUnmarried.
Age LimitNot more than 25 years on the date of commencement of the course.

Application Fees:INR 750 (non-refundable)
Students who have appeared for the final year examinations, must produce original mark-sheets for all 8 semesters as well as a provisional degree on the commencement of the course.
Students who have cleared their BE/BTech final year but are yet to clear any backlog of prior semesters are ineligible to apply.
Candidates to check their eligibility and fill application only if they meet the criteria.
BTech/ BE degree is mandatory for admission to this program.
Physical Standards:Candidates should be healthy and physically fit for sea service as per STCW 2010/MS Medical rules 2000 and all its amendment as applicable to seafarers.
Aspirants to note that they have to undergo their medical examination with the company appointed DG Shipping approved doctor only. Any medical report acquired otherwise is inadmissible and the candidate will have to undergo a medical examination with the company appointed doctor.
If the candidates want to check their fitness before undergoing the process, they are requested to get in touch with us over e-mail/phone. The candidate will have to bear the costs of such a test and the admissions team will only help arrange for such a test.
Eyesight:Distance vision (unaided) : 6/12 in each eye; or 6/9 in better eye and 6/18 in other eye.
Normal colour vision.

Minimum Weight:48 kgs

  • Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria should apply by filling the Online Application Form on the website.
  • The Application should be submitted in the format given in the website only, with one recent passport size photograph pasted neatly in the right hand top corner.

  • Communication regarding the exact interview date and time will be communicated to the applicants in due course of time. Applicants are requested to check the website and their registered e-mail ID continuously for details.

  • Concept of Electricity-generation, Transmission, Distribution and utilization, Electronics and communication.

    Principle of direct and alternating current and circuits
  • Production of direct and alternating current, concept of frequency and wave form, instantaneous maximum and average values, form factor for sinusoidal wave. Concept of phase and phase difference.
  • Re-presentation of alternating quantities by phasors. D.C. and A.C. Circuits, concept of resistance, inductance, capacitance. Power and power factor. Alternating voltage applied to resistance and inductance in series and RLC series/parallel circuits, practical importance of power factor. Simple problems on A.C. Circuits. Concept of three phase system, star delta connection, voltage and current relationship. Simple problems.

  • Principle of working of electronic rectifier, full wave and half wave, rectifiers, coarse and fine controls, relationship between D.C. output and A.C. input voltage, ripple, effect of capacitor/inductor input filters on the ripple, voltage stabilization by Zener diode.

  • Arrangement of cells, construction of lead acid batteries and S.M.F. batteries, Ampere hour and watt. hour efficiency, simple problems. Battery charging and necessary precautions.

  • Electrical properties and instruments for their measurement. Working principles and construction of following measuring instruments including their errors and accuracy. Simple problems Ammeters, volt meters (moving coil and moving iron type) different between volt meter and Ammeter. Extension of range of A.C. & D.C. instruments. Watt meters and energy Meter. Difference between watt meter and energy meter. Use of multi-meter, ohm meter, megger, earth tester etc.

  • Gauss Theorem, electric field and potential due to point, line, plane and spherical charge distributions; Ampere’s and Biot-Savart’s laws; inductance; dielectrics; capacitance.
