Frequently Asked Questions

That's an option, but professional development doesn't have to begin only when an examination is approaching. MND Flix helps you strengthen your technical understanding during your sailing career, so you can connect what you learn with the machinery and systems you encounter onboard. When your exam preparation begins, you may already have a stronger foundation to build upon.

Your onboard experience and practical knowledge are valuable, and MND Flix is designed to complement them, not replace them. Our courses can help you revise important concepts, revisit complex systems, explore structured troubleshooting approaches, and prepare for the responsibilities of your next rank. Even experienced marine engineers can benefit from organised revision and a fresh perspective on familiar machinery and operations.

We understand that you want the flexibility to learn without worrying about an expiry date. Our subscription plans come with defined validity periods, allowing us to provide structured access to specialised learning resources. You can choose a plan that suits your sailing schedule, preparation timeline, and career goals, so you have sufficient time to make the most of your learning experience.

We understand this concern, especially when your onboard schedule is unpredictable. Before enrolling, consider your contract duration, expected sign-off date, study availability, and the course validity. MND Flix offers flexible access to learning resources, allowing you to study when your schedule permits. Choose the subscription that realistically matches your circumstances and learning goals to get the best value from your investment.

We understand that every seafarer has different financial priorities. MND Flix focuses on specialised marine engineering education, with courses designed around the technical knowledge and professional skills relevant to your career. Rather than choosing a plan beyond your budget, explore the available courses and subscription options to find what best suits your needs. Our goal is to deliver meaningful learning value that supports your long-term professional development.

You can certainly enrol after signing off. However, your learning doesn't have to wait until your contract ends. You can build your technical knowledge gradually during your sailing period whenever time permits. This can help you reduce the pressure of covering everything during leave and make your dedicated exam-preparation period more productive.

We understand that life onboard involves watchkeeping, maintenance jobs, paperwork, emergency duties, and unpredictable working hours. That's why MND Flix provides recorded learning resources that allow you to learn at your own pace, subject to your subscription. Even dedicating 15–20 minutes when your schedule permits can help you make steady progress. You don't need to follow a fixed classroom timetable.

Internet connectivity can be a genuine challenge at sea. Depending on the supported features of the platform and your subscription, eligible videos may be available for offline viewing through the download facility. You can plan your learning around your connectivity and available internet access. Please check the current download conditions and device requirements before subscribing.
