Placement:- T.S.CHANAKYA PLACEMENT RECORD All the B.Sc(N.S.)cadets of 2022 batch are placed. Placement is ongoing for 2023 and 2024 batch. Company visited for placement as of now for 2023 batch Chevron, MSI,MOL,FML, NYK, PACIFIC BASIN*,SYGNIUS*,THOME,RB BRITISH MARINE*,K LINE*, ANGLO EASTERN Maersk*, MSC*,BW* (only for GC's) Company visited for placement as of now for 2024 batch MSI, THOME,Wilhelmsen*, Chevron And many more to come. (* first time visit to the campus for placement) DNS placement is not good.

Waiting Period:- Very less waiting period for almost companies.

Training & Wellbeing:- Good and caring faculties.

Graduate Marine Engineering Course Eligibility

Education Qualification:

  • BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering/ Naval Architecture with at least 50% marks in final year from a recognized University/AICTE approved Institute/IIT with minimum 50% marks in English language at 10th or 12th or in Degree Exam.
  • Full time BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering Streams e.g. Mechanical and Automation, Mechanical and Electronics, Mechanical and Automobile etc. However, the word “Mechanical” should be the first, indicating that mechanical engineering is the core subject and the second subject is the elective; with minimum 50% marks in English language at 10th or 12th or in Degree Exam.
  • Candidates who have degree in any Naval Architecture streams, e.g. Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, Naval Architecture, and Ship Building, etc.

Relaxation for SC/ST candidates

  • There will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks of Final Year; however, it will not apply to English Marks.
  • Relaxation of 5% in English marks will be applicable to candidates who are born in and are native of the Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and belong to their Scheduled Tribes; and whose both parents were born in those Islands & belong to the Scheduled Tribes of those island.

Age Limit

  • Male : For General-28 years OBC(NCL)-31 years SC/ST-33 years.
  • Female : For General-30 years OBC(NCL)-33 years SC/ST-35 years.

Physical and Medical Standards

  • All candidates need to clear the medical examination conducted by DG Shipping Approved Doctor.

How To Apply

  • Candidate is supposed to take Admission in Indian Maritime University Mumbai. Please click on APPLY NOW button below to download the application form for the same. Candidate will able to fill the application form in offline mode and submit the application form by post method or physically present to the imu Campus with application form.

Payment

  • A demand draft of 10,000/- only drawn in favour of “Indian Maritime University – Mumbai Campus” payable at Mumbai as Registration Fee to be paid immediately after selection.
