  • Located in Mumbai, Maharashtra provides a 1-year Graduate Marine Engineering Course which is divided into 6-months Pre-Sea Curriculum and another 6-months of Practical Ship in Campus training. The college charges a fee of around INR 5.94 Lakhs.

Training & Wellbeing:- Training and wellbeing facilities is vary good.

Placement:- In house placement i.e.100%sure.

Waiting Period:- Waiting for toppers is around 6months & for last rankers it may go upto 8 months.but, for next batches it will going to be reduced as ESM increased their fleet.

Training & Wellbeing:- Training is awesome.teachers are topnotch & they will clear ur concepts from basic.

Placement:- Sims has got 100% placement in its parent company (ESM)

Waiting Period:- Waiting period for a GME cadet is 6 months but presently the waiting period is going some what going down.

Training & Wellbeing:- The training period was very good in terms of all aspects (Practical hands on experience, theoretical, lodging, fooding etc)

CASH AWARD SCHEME:

SIMS conducts an All India level talent search scheme. Students from classes XI & XII from selected schools are given the opportunity to appear in a test for consideration for Cash award.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD:

SIMS has instituted scholarship awards for financially underprivileged students on joining SIMS. Selected candidates (on the basis of online admission test) are called for an interview in Mumbai / Lonavala for final selection for the award.

LOAN ASSISTANCE:

Needy students are provided guidance and assistance for receiving study loan from recognised banks during the course of training. Candidates desirous of the same can contact the Admission Team for assistance.

Registration Process

How To Apply

  • Filling Online Application: A candidate can Click Here and fill the application form.
  • After filling all details in application form, a candidate can make payment of Rs 1100/- for online written test through net banking.

Booking of Exam Venue:

  • After successful completion of payment, a candidate can book the exam venue as per his date & centre of choice.

Generation of Hall Ticket:

  • After successful booking of exam centre, a candidate is required to generate the Hall Ticket by logging in to his registered email id or our website.
  • He is required to produce a print out of the Hall Ticket at the ESM/SIMS centre on the date of online exam. Also a proof of identity is required to be shown at the test centre (Pan Card / Aadhar Card / Voter ID).

Online Test:

Candidate will report at ESM / SIMS exam centre and take the online test. The test will have 3 steps as follows:

  • Step-1 Demo Practice Paper (10 Mins).
  • Step-2 Multiple Choice Questions (60 Mins).
  • Step-3 English Writing (10 Mins).

Interview & Psychometric Test:

After qualifying in the online test, a candidate will be called for Interview & Psychometric test at the zonal office or SIMS Lonavala campus.

  • Candidate will be interviewed by SIMS Marine Faculty.
  • Interviewer will make a detailed report of the candidate with respect to his Academic background, Aptitude, Attitude, family back ground, etc.

After Interview round, candidate will take the psychometric test.

Medical Test:

After qualifying in the interview and psychometric Test, candidates are required to undergo medical test by DG Shipping and Company approved Doctor.

  • Candidate will submit the medical test report at the zonal office or at SIMS Lonavala campus, as applicable.
  • 100% in house placement on ESM managed vessels upon successful completion of the course.

Graduate Marine Engineering Course Eligibility

Education Qualification:

  • BE (Mechanical) Engineering / recognized by AICTE/ UGC Deemed University approved Institute during the entire duration of engineering with a minimum marks of 55% in final year.
  • Candidate must clear his BE/ B.Tech in 4 years only.
  • Numbers of ATKTs / Arrears / Repeats / Fail subjects during the entire degree programme: Not more than six attempts.

Payment

  • English shall be one of the subjects with minimum marks scored 50% in class X or XII.

Age Limit

  • Candidates should not be older than 25 years on the date of commencement of the course.

Marital Status

  • Unmarried.

Physical and Medical Standards

  • Physically fit and meet the standards laid out by DG Shipping.

Eye Sight

  • No Colour Blindness, Use of corrective lenses permitted but the maximum permissible limits, at entry, are 6/12 in each eye or 6/9 in the better eye and 6/18 in the other eye, for Distant Unaided Vision. (As given in M.S. Act, Medical Examinations, Annexure B.).
