  • The first Marine Institution in Coimbatore, established in the year 2001. The CMC’s strategic location on the National highway, on the arterial Pollachi Main Road at Myleripalayam, about 12 km’s away from Railway station and 20 km from the Airport makes it an ideal destination for learning.
  • The Ship in Campus (T.S Clarissa) Designed and built on a real-time model. T.S Clarissa is one of the best Ship in Campus in the world. T.S Clarissa in-houses all the facilities as like a ship which provides the visualization and hands-on experience of working in a ship for the students.
  • On bridge deck, we have simulators for bridge operations and automations. In engine control room we have simulators for auxiliary machineries and Boiler automation. Each Institution in our group is unique in its own way.
  • Duration: 16-17 weeks. 6-8 months onboard training arrangement will be provided as placement assistance for deserving students.
  • Approved by: D.G. Shipping, Govt of India. Approval No: TR/A/148/2012 dated 09 Oct 2012.
  • CIP Ranking: Grade A1 (Outstanding) by Indian Register of Shipping.

Electro-Technical Officer Course Eligibility –

Category -1

  • Passed Four year’s BE / BTECH Degree including lateral entry, with 50% marks in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication / Communication Engineering, or Electronics and lnstrumentation or equivalent.
  • The candidates must have secured minimum 50% marks in English in 10th or 12th standard exams. If a candidate could not secure 50% marks in English in 10th or 12th standard exams shall still be eligible provided the candidate secures 50% in the degree exam and the medium of learning in degree was English.

Category -2

  • The Candidates who were admitted in Diploma course on the basis of Matriculation only and went to complete their B.E / B.Tech degree course as a lateral entry in the 2nd year of the degree on the basis of Diploma, and has secured with 50% marks in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication / Communication Engineering, or Electronics and Instrumentation or equivalent.
  • The candidates must have secured minimum 50% marks in English in 10th standard exams. If a candidate could not secure 50% marks in English in 10th standard exam shall still be eligible provided the candidate secures 60% in Diploma or 50% in the degree exam and the medium of learning in diploma or degree was English.

Category -3

  • Passed three year’s Diploma with 60% marks in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication / Communication Engineering, or Electronics and lnstrumentation or equivalent.
  • The candidates must have secured minimum 50% marks in English in 10th standard exams. If a candidate could not secure 50% marks in English in 10th standard exam shall still be eligible provided the candidate secures 60% in Diploma exam and the medium of learning in diploma was English.
  • Passport is Mandatory.
  • Age limit: Maximum 35 Years.
  • Medical standard: Candidates should be physically fit for sea service under standard norms, with eyesight up to (+ or -) 2.5 with no colour blindness.

Note :-

  • Category 1 – The candidate must have passed the 10th and 12th standard from a recognized board and the degree courses must be recognized by any state or central Government or the AICTE.
  • Category 2 – The candidate must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board and the diploma and degree courses must be recognized by any state or central Government or the AICTE.
  • Category 3 – The candidate must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board and the diploma courses must be recognized by any State or Central Government or the AICTE.
  • The maximum age limit mentioned above shall be applicable for General Category candidates.
  • The maximum age limit for candidates belonging to ‘Scheduled Caste’ (SC) / ‘Scheduled Tribe’ (ST) Category shall be relaxed by 5 years.
  • The maximum age limit for candidates belonging to Non-creamy layer of ‘Other Backward Classes’ (OBC) Category shall be relaxed by 3 years.
  • The maximum age limit for women candidates of each Category shall be relaxed by additional 2 years.
