GP Rating Course and CCMC Course

If you want to earn quick money and travel around the world, maritime jobs  offer a unique career option after 10th. Two popular paths:

GP Rating Course

  • Full form: General Purpose Rating

     

  • Duration: 6 months (maybe one month extra)

     

  • Eligibility: 10th pass from any certified Board with minimum 40% marks in English and Mathematics
  • Overview: Training in basic seamanship, firefighting, lifesaving, and maintenance of ship machinery i.e. Fitter, Welder, Motorman,wiper, OS etc.

     

  • Why it’s great:

     

    • Hands-on learning aboard training ships

       

    • International job placements on cargo vessels, tankers

CCMC Course

  • Overview: Focuses on galley management, cooking techniques, food safety, and hospitality. You’ll join ship as a Trainee cook – Second cook – Chief cook

After 10th Career Choice

If you are planning to study then you can plan to go for+2 studies and select any one of the stream as per your choice.
